Synopsis:
LOVE YOU BACK is a fast-paced psychological thriller about a young mother, NATALIE (NAT) BOWERS (27), who is tricked into engaging in a role-playing weekend with her husband, BILL BOWERS (32), in an effort to rekindle their failing marriage. The couple agrees to fly separately to Las Vegas and meet as strangers in a bar, but Bill doesn’t show, Nat gets mugged, and undercover detective REGINALD LEWIS, 35, of the vice squad mistakes her for a prostitute and arrests her. Nat ends up in a holding cell with five streetwise prostitutes.
Upon returning home, Bill uses Nat’s mental health history—she attempted suicide as a teenager after witnessing the tragic demise of her parents at the hands of her schizophrenic mother—and teams up with the couple's family counselor, DR. INGRID STYLES (39), whom Bill is also having an affair with, to get a judge to agree Nat needs to be institutionalized.
Suspecting something far more nefarious is afoot, Nat flees back to Vegas to argue against her arrest and engages the help of sympathetic detective BARRY WELLER, 29, in an attempt to unravel the scheme in a race against the clock before she loses her freedom, her family, and her sanity. Together they uncover ominous connections between her husband, Dr. Ingrid Styles, Detective Lewis, and her mugger, as well as Bill’s true motive, a quest to wrangle her thirty million dollar trust fund away from her.
